Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo

Grandma and Papa Nick invited us to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo and it was so much fun.  Papa Nick could only get good seats for the 10 am Rodeo so we spent the night at their house Friday night. Much easier and we didn't have to get up an hour earlier.

Mallory really enjoyed the Rodeo and watching the cowboys and cowgirls.  Maggie got scared by the fireworks (at the beginning) and was unhappy most of the time.  She couldn't let go of being scared and I think she was tired.

Mallory and Papa Nick - she sat on his lap the majority of the time.

Chuckwagon Racing

After the show, we had YUMMY corn dogs and then Papa Nick bought some tickets for the girls to ride the rides.  Truthfully, we thought Maggie would get scared. We were WRONG! She had a blast and so did Mallory.  Maggie even rode the huge Ferris Wheel with me.  Mallory wanted no part of it.

She's Crazy

We had gymnastics this afternoon and had to run into Kroger afterwards.  Mallory is wearing a boot sock as a cast to finish off her outfit.  People kept looking at her and she asked "Why do people keep looking at me like I'm crazy?"  Well...the proof is in the pudding sweetie. :)

Harold's 12th Birthday Party

Harold it is really hard to believe that you are TWELVE today.  We have had you for over 11 years now.  Mallory loves you, but Maggie ADORES you.  She feeds you and gives you too many treats.  We have seen you go from a crazy puppy who ate furniture to a senior dog.  You still have some kick in your step when you want to, but have become much slower.  You sleep a lot and sometimes get lost because you can't see.  You are starting to be more like Frank and laying at feet in the kitchen and the bathroom.  Your face has a lot of grey in.  I'm so glad that you are still here with us and we got to have cookie cake!

Harold - the good sport as always

Music Teacher

I was cleaning today and Maggie decided to play music class.  She didn't want me anywhere near her and told me to stay away.  It was a little rude, but it was funny.  We did have a talk about being polite.

Sleepover in Maggie's Room

Maggie has been begging for Mallory to have a sleep over in her room.  I finally said okay, but they had to promise to not give us too much trouble and go to sleep.  In the second photo (at the very bottom) you can see the stripped sheets on the mattress that Mallory was supposed to sleep on.  Here is what we found when we went to check on them before going to bed ourselves.
