Decorating the Christmas Trees

Today, the girls and I got out their Christmas tree and put it up while Matt was at work.  This was the first  year that Maggie REALLY got into the decorating and that made Mallory REALLY get into it as well.

Here is a picture of them helping fluff the branches and make it look like it hasn't been in a box for a year.  We put up all the decorations minus the special ornament each of them would receive - had to wait for Daddy to come home from work to see them open the gifts.

Maggie was beyond thrilled to receive a Jake (from Jake and the Neverland Pirates) ornament.

Mallory was happy to receive a Sofia the First ornament.

Putting the new ornament on the tree and posing with them.

Since she was two, Mallory has helped Matt put the star on the top of the tree.  Maggie wanted to get in on the action this year.  Cheers!

She Lost Another Tooth

Stop!  Mallory has lost another tooth. She is growing up WAY TOO FAST!  This one came out easier than the first one.  I asked her if I could just feel how loose it was and she said yes - one quick yank and out it came. I don't really think she even felt it.  Mallory was so excited and told everyone that Mama pulled the old switchero on me to get the tooth out.

Thanksgiving Road Trip

This year, Thanksgiving was to be with my parents, but we decided to go to Dan and Angela's instead. Mammy and Guy Guy didn't mind at all.  It seemed like it took forever to get to their house with all the holiday traffic.  The back of the Tahoe looks like we are moving. We took a small matress for Maggie since they have a two bedroom house.

Uncle Dan and Matt decided to be complete hillbillies.  Sitting on the front porch shooting bb guns.  Seriously?

Abby and Maggie helped make the homemade biscuits for Thanksgiving dinner.

The girls enjoying snacks before dinner.

I can't remember where Maggie was (probably playing in the dirt), but she didn't want to be in the picture.

The day after Thanksgiving, Aunt Angela and I took the girls to downtown Wimberly to play. This tree is huge!

We all had so much fun on this trip. Thinking about going down there every other year for Thanksgiving from now on!

Tractoring Around

Until today, Mallory has been scared of the riding lawn mower.  She would be willing to sit on it (in the garage) as long as the motor wasn't on.  Today she became a little braver.

Maggie was willing to try it out as long as Dadda drove her around.

Mallory's Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast

Today was the Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast.  These moms went all out for these little kiddos. I was really impressed.  The kids had a full meal given to them during afternoon snack time.

Mallory in line with her turkey hat.  Each class wore a different themed hat.

Enjoying her Thanksgiving meal.

Maggie enjoying some food as well.

Look who now wants to be Pirate Izzy.  I bought this on clearance and she won't take it off.

Maggie's First Performance

Tonight was Maggie's first preschool music program.  She chose to wear her new dress (which now seems to just be a lon sweater) and a nice pink bow.  This beautiful smile was the only time Maggie smiled all night.

We got Maggie to her classroom and she was hesitate to go in which came as no surprise.  I just prayed and hoped she would not flip out on stage.  When Maggie came into the worship center she started bawling when she saw us.  Mrs. Dawn was very sweet and held Maggie on stage to help calm her fears.

Maggie never sang one word, but stood there quietly.  Not what we had hoped, but much better than it could be.  Mallory was pretty nervous at her first program as well. Here's to hoping she is less scared at the next one.
