Roach Feed and Seed

Since Mallory was one year old I have taken her to see the chickens and/or ducks at Roach Feed and Seed in downtown Garland. It is fun to see she responds to them each year.  When she was one she didn't really know what to think and this year she was smitten.

Maggie was very excited to see the chicks from a far, but she didn't want to hold them or touch them.  I was actually surprised she wouldn't touch one as she is typically very brave.

"Mama, pick one up, pick one up," Mallory kept telling me.  

I asked her if she would like to hold the baby and she told me yes. I was completely shocked.  Mallory is very cautious about holding anything. I was really impressed and she would have held that baby forever if I had let her.
