Tractoring Around

Until today, Mallory has been scared of the riding lawn mower.  She would be willing to sit on it (in the garage) as long as the motor wasn't on.  Today she became a little braver.

Maggie was willing to try it out as long as Dadda drove her around.

Mallory's Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast

Today was the Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast.  These moms went all out for these little kiddos. I was really impressed.  The kids had a full meal given to them during afternoon snack time.

Mallory in line with her turkey hat.  Each class wore a different themed hat.

Enjoying her Thanksgiving meal.

Maggie enjoying some food as well.

Maggie's First Performance

Tonight was Maggie's first preschool music program.  She chose to wear her new dress (which now seems to just be a lon sweater) and a nice pink bow.  This beautiful smile was the only time Maggie smiled all night.

We got Maggie to her classroom and she was hesitate to go in which came as no surprise.  I just prayed and hoped she would not flip out on stage.  When Maggie came into the worship center she started bawling when she saw us.  Mrs. Dawn was very sweet and held Maggie on stage to help calm her fears.

Maggie never sang one word, but stood there quietly.  Not what we had hoped, but much better than it could be.  Mallory was pretty nervous at her first program as well. Here's to hoping she is less scared at the next one.

Halloween

Before I even start talking about Halloween, let me say this - Matt is a trooper!

For Halloween, Maggie decided that she wanted to be Cubby from Jake and the Neverland Pirates, but of course there is no costume for it.  Not that it really matters since she won't wear a costume.  Then she decided to be Izzy from the same show, but said she wouldn't wear a costume.  I told her that we could make her a costume that wouldn't be itchy (from items we already have) yet she wasn't sure about it.  I then let her know if she didn't dress up that she wouldn't get to go get candy.  She decided to dress up knowing she may miss some candy.

I suggested to Mallory that she should wear her Tinkerbell costume since Maggie was going to be Izzy.  Mallory didn't want to be Tink at first, but I mentioned that I would be Wendy and her dad could be Peter Pan.  Saying that Matt would be Peter Pan sealed the deal for Mallory to be Tinkerbell.  Needless to say when I told Matt this he gave me the stink eye and thought the idea was terrible.  I promised him no tights and said "please do this for your girls!!!!!"  He did.  Have I mentioned that Matt is a trooper?

Before trick-or-treating,  Sam and Aunt Betty come over for dinner.  After dinner, Grandma and Papa Nick came over to pass out candy so we could all go trick-or-treating together.

We couldn't go without Everly and Ethan Berry.  Here are all the kids - Maggie, Ethan, Everly, Sam, and Mallory

Now You See It, Now You Don't

So Mallory has had a loose tooth for a while and it just recently became very loose.  Ever since watching an episode of Peppa the Pig where Peppa looses a tooth Mallory has been wiggling her tooth as much as possible.

Here are two pictures of the tooth still in.  The very loose tooth is the center bottom right tooth.  You can tell there is a good space between it and the tooth to the right.  That is due to the loose tooth barely hanging on. I have told Mallory please don't wiggle it at school because I really want to be there when the tooth comes out.  Plus, I don't want her to loose (literally) the tooth before she gets home.  I let her know the tooth fairy can't come if there is no tooth.

Fast forward to today.  What do you see, but a big hole in Mallory's mouth.  She came home from school today and I really don't know how the tooth was still attached to her mouth.  I asked her if I could pull it and she said no because it would hurt.  I convinced her to let me dry the tooth with a kleenex and just wiggle it and see. Mallory said I could, but I could only wiggle it once.  (Um, okay...)  I dried the tooth and gave it one good yank (whoops) and out it came.  She didn't really even feel it and it bled just a little. Mallory was so excited.  We decorated a little box and put the tooth under her pillow.  The tooth fairy brought her two, $1 gold coins.

UNT Football Game

Tonight we took the girls to their first UNT football game.  They were pretty bored at first, but once  I bought them some pom poms everything changed.  Matt even wore a green shirt to support the Mean Green.  Unfortunately, we lost to Mississippi. :(

Ethan Berry was happy though.
