Making Mallory's Party Cupcakes

This morning, we made the cupcakes for Mallory's birthday party.

Both of the girls did a great job stirring and not making a mess.  They also didn't bicker which was wonderful!

I believe their favorite part was licking the batter.  That's the best part to me!

New Hair Cuts

On Monday, we went to Claudia's for hair cuts.  Mallory was a very big girl and sat still and got a very nice trim.  Maggie wouldn't have anything to do with sitting in the chair so no haircut for her.

She did let me cut her hair when we got home.  I got a little happy with the scissors and her hair is much shorter than I wanted it to be.  However, it is really cute and she has received many compliments.

Happy Valentine's Day

Just a few pics of the girls the Tuesday before Valentine's Day. Both had parties and card exchanges at school today.  Of course, they both took Disney Princess cards!

Maggie cracks me up with her facial expressions. You tell to smile and she gets so excited that she can't keep her eyes open or on the camera!

Zzzzzzz

Passed out on the sofa while eating her bedtime snack. This is a first! Not surprised though - no nap two days in a row and played hard with cousins and/or friends both afternoons.

Maggie is 2 1/2 Years Old

Oh sweet Maggie. You turned 2 1/2 on November 22nd, 2013 and with everything that has gone on I never wrote a post about this special day. When you get older, please forgive me. It has nothing to do with you, but I got busy with your dad falling and everything else going on. I kept saying "I'll do it tomorrow," and well now it is January 28th, 2014. I can't remember exactly what you were or were not doing at that time, but I can tell you your stats from the doctor visit. I have that written down and I also remember how mad you got when you were being examined. Dr. Daniel had me actually climb up onto the table to hold you down. He said you were one of the strongest little girls he had ever seen. I remember you screaming bloody murder and Mallory was trying to calm you down telling you how everything would be okay and to not get upset. I managed to not laugh or say "Mallory please have that mentality at your next visit!!"

Two and a half year old stats:
30 pounds - 65% percentile
35 inches - 35% percentile

Bye Bye Baby Bedding

I finally sold the baby bedding that has been part of our home for almost five years. Mallory used it first and then Maggie.  The lady that purchased it for her grandson was thrilled.  I told her I hope it brings as many smiles to their family as it has ours.  While I'm sad for it leave our house, it also makes me happy.  We are officially only going to have little girl bedding in our house and that is such a blessing because our girls are healthy and growing.

Maggie will still be in the baby bed until March when she gets her big girl bed and new bedding.  She is excited, but I want to wait until Spring Break to start training her to not get out of her bed.

We Are Potty-Trained

Besides pull-ups at bedtime this house is DIAPER FREE!!!  Our budget is so happy...it's like this family got a raise!  Maggie was pretty easy to potty train.  It took a bit longer than expected, but she is doing great!

Here is our special friend "Frogger!"  Couldn't have made it without him.
